Geological Chronicle
Zhukovskiy is an 82.07-kilometer impact crater situated on the far side of the Moon, located southwest of the Dirichlet-Jackson Basin. The crater forms a pair with Lebedinskiy, which attaches directly to its eastern rim, while the expansive walled plain Korolev lies farther to the southeast.
Dating to the Nectarian period on the lunar geologic timescale, Zhukovskiy displays an eroded rim that is especially worn at its northern and southern extremes. Its interior floor is relatively level, interrupted primarily by a small but prominent crater occupying part of the southern half.
