Von der Pahlen is an eroded lunar impact crater that lies on the far side of the Moon from the Earth. The formation spans an official diameter of 53.89 kilometers.

It is located about one crater diameter to the south-southwest of the crater Strömgren. It is recorded in the IAU Gazetteer under quadrangle LAC-106.
