Geological Chronicle
Volterra is a lunar impact crater that is located in the northern latitudes on the far side of the Moon. The formation spans an official diameter of 55.1 kilometers.
To the northeast is the crater Olivier, and to the south-southwest lies von Békésy. It is recorded in the IAU Gazetteer under quadrangle LAC-17.
