Geological Chronicle

Vesalius is a lunar impact crater that lies on the far side of the Moon, less than 100 kilometers south of the lunar equator. The formation spans an official diameter of 64.65 kilometers.

It was named after Flemish anatomist and physician Andreas Vesalius. It is recorded in the IAU Gazetteer under quadrangle LAC-83.
