Townley is a small lunar impact crater that is located in the eastern part of the Moon. The formation spans an official diameter of 17.68 kilometers.

It was named after American astronomer Sidney Dean Townley in 1976. It is recorded in the IAU Gazetteer under quadrangle LAC-62.
