Geological Chronicle

Thiel is a lunar impact crater on the far side of the Moon. The formation spans an official diameter of 35.67 kilometers.

It is located to the south of the larger crater Quetelet, and to the north-northwest of Charlier. It is recorded in the IAU Gazetteer under quadrangle LAC-34.
