Geological Chronicle

Tacchini is a lunar impact crater on the northwestern edge of the Mare Smythii, near the eastern limb of the Moon. The formation spans an official diameter of 42.58 kilometers.

It was named after Italian astronomer Pietro Tacchini. It is recorded in the IAU Gazetteer under quadrangle LAC-63.
