Geological Chronicle

Sumner is a lunar impact crater on the far side of the Moon, beyond the northeastern limb. The formation spans an official diameter of 52.87 kilometers.

It is southwest of the larger crater Szilard, and southeast of the twin walled plains called Fabry and Harkhebi. It is recorded in the IAU Gazetteer under quadrangle LAC-30.
