Geological Chronicle

Stearns is a lunar impact crater on the far side of the Moon. The formation spans an official diameter of 38.94 kilometers.

Unlike many lunar craters, this is a relatively fresh and well-defined impact feature with little appearance of erosion. It is recorded in the IAU Gazetteer under quadrangle LAC-32.
