John is a badly degraded lunar impact crater on the Moon's far side. The formation spans an official diameter of 66.74 kilometers.
This crater is situated to the northeast of a huge walled plain named Mendeleev, and southwest of the crater Kohlschütter. It is recorded in the IAU Gazetteer under quadrangle LAC-66.
