Geological Chronicle

Spörer is a lunar impact crater that lies just to the north of the crater Herschel, and southeast of the lava-flooded Flammarion. The formation spans an official diameter of 25.57 kilometers.

To the southeast is Gyldén, and to the northeast is Réaumur. It is recorded in the IAU Gazetteer under quadrangle LAC-77.
