Spallanzani is a lunar impact crater located in the rugged, crater-marked terrain of the Moon's southern hemisphere. The formation spans an official diameter of 30.86 kilometers.
It was named after Italian natural scientist and biologist Lazzaro Spallanzani. It is recorded in the IAU Gazetteer under quadrangle LAC-113.
