Geological Chronicle

Smithson is a small lunar impact crater located in the northeast part of Mare Fecunditatis. The formation spans an official diameter of 6.04 kilometers.

It is a circular, cup-shaped feature with a slightly higher albedo than the surrounding, dark lunar mare. It is recorded in the IAU Gazetteer under quadrangle LAC-62.
