Geological Chronicle

Sechenov is a lunar impact crater on the far side of the Moon. The formation spans an official diameter of 63.8 kilometers.

It lies to the southwest of the huge walled plain named Hertzsprung, and to the east-southeast of the crater Timiryazev. It is recorded in the IAU Gazetteer under quadrangle LAC-88.
