Rutherford is a small lunar impact crater that lies on the Moon's far side. The formation spans an official diameter of 15.98 kilometers.

It was named after New Zealand-British physicist and Nobel laureate Ernest Rutherford. It is recorded in the IAU Gazetteer under quadrangle LAC-66.
