Geological Chronicle

Rupes Boris is a short fault or ridge situated within Mare Imbrium in the northwestern quadrant of the Moon's near side. Centered at 30.6738° N, 33.5994° W with an official diameter of 8.58 km, the feature lies within the Aristarchus quadrangle.

In 1985, the International Astronomical Union officially adopted the name Rupes Boris, taking it from the tiny nearby crater Boris. Studies propose the feature may actually be a ridge of ejecta from nearby crater Delisle rather than a lunar escarpment.
