Geological Chronicle

Rost is a lunar impact crater that is located in the southwestern part of the Moon, to the southeast of the elongated formation Schiller. The formation spans an official diameter of 46.85 kilometers.

To the southeast of Rost is the larger crater Scheiner. It is recorded in the IAU Gazetteer under quadrangle LAC-125.
