Geological Chronicle

Ross is a lunar impact crater that is located in the northwest part of the Mare Tranquillitatis. The formation spans an official diameter of 24.49 kilometers.

It lies south-southwest of the crater Plinius, and northeast of the lava-flooded Maclear. It is recorded in the IAU Gazetteer under quadrangle LAC-60.
