Geological Chronicle

Rimae Fresnel is a 90km-long arcuate escarpment on the Moon located at 28.11°N, 3.73°E in the Montes Apenninus quadrangle. The feature has a registered diameter of 75 kilometers.

Both the escarpment and the nearby Promontorium Fresnel were named after French physicist Augustin-Jean Fresnel.
