Rima Flammarion is a lunar rille situated near the south edge of Sinus Medii. The channel extends about 80 kilometers to the west-southwest, passing across a gap in the damaged northwestern outer wall of Flammarion crater.
The feature takes its name from the host crater, which was named for the French astronomer Camille Flammarion. Situated between the craters Mösting to the northwest and Herschel to the southeast, Flammarion features a crater floor that was flooded by lava, leaving a smooth surface with only a few scattered craterlets.
