Geological Chronicle

Riedel is an impact crater on the far side of the Moon. The formation spans an official diameter of 49.14 kilometers.

It is located to the north-northeast of the crater Karrer, and due south of Leavitt. It is recorded in the IAU Gazetteer under quadrangle LAC-133.
