Geological Chronicle

Mösting is a small lunar impact crater that is located in the southeastern fringes of the Mare Insularum. The formation spans an official diameter of 24.38 kilometers.

It was named after Danish benefactor Johan Sigismund von Mösting. It is recorded in the IAU Gazetteer under quadrangle LAC-77.
