Montes Archimedes is a mountain range located on a plateau in eastern Mare Imbrium, on the near side of the Moon. Encompassing a diameter of 146.54 kilometers, the group of peaks is bounded to the north by the crater Archimedes, from which the range gets its name, and to the east by the small mare Palus Putredinis.
The individual peaks are scattered across the plateau without a uniform structure, though the most rugged terrain is concentrated within a 70-kilometer central region. Some summits reach heights of up to 2.0 kilometers, standing lower than the neighboring Montes Apenninus range further to the south and east. None of the individual peaks within Montes Archimedes have received official designations.
