Geological Chronicle

Marco Polo is a lunar impact crater that is located in the rugged foothills to the south of the Montes Apenninus mountain range. The formation spans an official diameter of 28.25 kilometers.

It was named after Italian explorer Marco Polo. It is recorded in the IAU Gazetteer under quadrangle LAC-59.
