Geological Chronicle

Leucippus is a crater on the Moon's far side. The formation spans an official diameter of 57.03 kilometers.

It is relatively isolated from other named craters, although it is located just over one crater diameter to the south-southeast of the huge walled plain named Landau. It is recorded in the IAU Gazetteer under quadrangle LAC-53.
