Lauritsen is a lunar impact crater that is located just behind the east-southeastern limb of the Moon. The formation spans an official diameter of 51.24 kilometers.

It is named for physicist Charles Christian Lauritsen. It is recorded in the IAU Gazetteer under quadrangle LAC-100.
