Geological Chronicle
Kuiper ( KY-pər) is a small lunar impact crater in a relatively featureless part of the Mare Cognitum. The formation spans an official diameter of 6.28 kilometers.
On the lunar geologic timescale, this formation dates to the Copernican period. It is recorded in the IAU Gazetteer under quadrangle LAC-76.
