Isis is a lunar crater spanning 0.61 kilometers in diameter across the southeastern expanse of Mare Serenitatis. The feature lies northeast of the crater Dawes and west of the Montes Taurus range, situated west-southwest of the Apollo 17 landing site in the Taurus-Littrow valley.
Together with nearby Osiris, Isis is located on a conical uprise situated along a rille. The structures are interpreted as small volcanic cones.
The International Astronomical Union adopted the designation in 1976, assigning the feature an Egyptian female given name.
