Ibn Yunus is the remains of a flooded lunar impact crater. The formation spans an official diameter of 59.69 kilometers.
It lies on the far side of the Moon, just past the eastern limb. It is recorded in the IAU Gazetteer under quadrangle LAC-64.
The International Astronomical Union officially approves the crater name.
