Hind is a lunar impact crater that lies to the southeast of a walled plain called Hipparchus, and due east of the crater Halley. The formation spans an official diameter of 28.5 kilometers.

The feature is situated in the Ptolemaeus quadrangle (LAC-77). It is officially cataloged by the International Astronomical Union at selenographic coordinates -7.918° latitude and 7.3058° longitude.
