Geological Chronicle
Herigonius is a small lunar impact crater that is located in the southern part of the Oceanus Procellarum, to the northeast of the crater Gassendi. The formation spans an official diameter of 14.86 kilometers.
It was named after French mathematician and astronomer Pierre Hérigone. It is recorded in the IAU Gazetteer under quadrangle LAC-75.
