Geological Chronicle

Hansteen is a lunar impact crater that lies near the southwest edge of the Oceanus Procellarum. The formation spans an official diameter of 44.99 kilometers.

To the southeast is the flooded crater Billy. It is recorded in the IAU Gazetteer under quadrangle LAC-74.
