Geological Chronicle

Gernsback is a lunar impact crater on the far side of the Moon. The formation spans an official diameter of 47.2 kilometers.

It is located in the northeastern part of the uneven Mare Australe, just behind the southeastern limb. It is recorded in the IAU Gazetteer under quadrangle LAC-116.
