Geological Chronicle

Firmicus is a lunar impact crater that lies in the eastern part of the Moon's near side, so that from Earth it appears oval in shape due to foreshortening. The formation spans an official diameter of 56.81 kilometers.

It is, however, very nearly circular. It is recorded in the IAU Gazetteer under quadrangle LAC-62.
