Esclangon is a lunar impact crater that is located in the rugged terrain to the northwest of the prominent crater Macrobius, and east of Sinus Amoris. The formation spans an official diameter of 15.29 kilometers.

The feature is situated in the Macrobius quadrangle (LAC-43). It is officially cataloged by the International Astronomical Union at selenographic coordinates 21.4685° latitude and 42.0618° longitude.
