Geological Chronicle

Dorsum Zirkel is a wrinkle ridge located in Mare Imbrium, northeast of Mons La Hire at selenographic coordinates 29.55°N, 24.82°W. The feature spans a length of 195.22 kilometers across the lunar surface.

Two small craters, La Hire A and La Hire B, lie on either side of the dorsum, with the larger crater Lambert to the southeast and the smaller McDonald to the northeast. The feature was named in 1976 after German geologist and mineralogist Ferdinand Zirkel.
