Geological Chronicle

Dorsum Nicol is a wrinkle ridge in Mare Serenitatis near the border of Mare Tranquillitatis. The feature is 44 km long.

To the south of Dorsum Nicol lie Rimae Plinius and Plinius crater, while the small crater Brackett sits to the southeast. To the north and perpendicular to the ridge are Dorsa Lister.

The International Astronomical Union officially named the feature after Scottish physicist William Nicol in 1976.
