Geological Chronicle

Dorsum Cayeux is a wrinkle ridge situated in Mare Fecunditatis on the Moon. Spanning 95.14 kilometers in length, the feature sits at coordinates 0.7628°N, 51.2204°E.

The ridge begins on the north side of Taruntius P crater and trends northwest past Taruntius K crater before curving northeast to flatten out into the mare surface northwest of Smithson crater. It is likely a continuation of Dorsa Geikie, which ends on the south side of Taruntius P crater where the impact that created Taruntius P struck the ridge.

In 1976, the International Astronomical Union officially named the feature after Lucien Cayeux, a French sedimentary petrographer.
