Geological Chronicle

De Forest is a lunar impact crater on the far side of the Moon. The formation spans an official diameter of 56.26 kilometers.

It is located in the deep southern hemisphere, within the best fit impact eclipse of the South Pole-Aitken basin. It is recorded in the IAU Gazetteer under quadrangle LAC-142.
