Geological Chronicle

Dante is a lunar impact crater that is located on the far side of the Moon. The formation spans an official diameter of 53.83 kilometers.

It lies within the Freundlich-Sharonov Basin, in the northern hemisphere exactly opposite the prime meridian facing the Earth. It is recorded in the IAU Gazetteer under quadrangle LAC-50.
