Geological Chronicle

Chappell is a degraded lunar impact crater on the far side of the Moon, in the northern hemisphere just to the north of the crater Debye. The formation spans an official diameter of 73.92 kilometers.

To the northwest is the smaller but fresher crater Tsinger. It is recorded in the IAU Gazetteer under quadrangle LAC-18.
