Geological Chronicle
Catena Mendeleev is a distinctive crater chain on the Moon, extending across 125.22 kilometers of the lunar surface. The feature forms a well-defined linear alignment of pits and depressions cutting through the local crustal terrain.
Geological studies indicate the crater chain consists of coalesced impact craters produced by secondary ballistic ejecta. It is officially cataloged in the IAU Gazetteer within quadrangle LAC-66.
