Geological Chronicle
Cajal is a small lunar impact crater on the northern part of the Mare Tranquilitatis. The formation spans an official diameter of 8.57 kilometers.
It is a circular (9 km diameter), cup-shaped formation that lies southeast of the lava-inundated crater Jansen. It is recorded in the IAU Gazetteer under quadrangle LAC-61.
