Bettinus is a lunar impact crater located near the southwest limb. The formation spans an official diameter of 71.78 kilometers.

Due to its location, the crater has a distinctly oval shape because of foreshortening. It is recorded in the IAU Gazetteer under quadrangle LAC-125.
