Bessarion is a lunar impact crater located near the southwest edge of Mare Imbrium, on the Oceanus Procellarum. The formation spans an official diameter of 9.84 kilometers.

Some distance to the east is the crater T. It is recorded in the IAU Gazetteer under quadrangle LAC-57.
