Geological Chronicle

Bancroft is a small, bowl-shaped impact crater located to the southwest of Archimedes on the Mare Imbrium. The formation spans an official diameter of 12.5 kilometers.

It has a clean, sharp rim with no indication of wear. It is recorded in the IAU Gazetteer under quadrangle LAC-41.
