Geological Chronicle

Auwers is a small lunar impact crater located in the Montes Haemus mountain range at the south edge of Mare Serenitatis. The formation spans an official diameter of 19.64 kilometers.

It lies southeast of the crater Menelaus. It is recorded in the IAU Gazetteer under quadrangle LAC-60.
