Geological Chronicle
Aratus is a small lunar impact crater located on the highland to the south and east of the rugged Montes Apenninus range. The formation spans an official diameter of 10.23 kilometers.
It is a circular, cup-shaped crater with a relatively high albedo. It is recorded in the IAU Gazetteer under quadrangle LAC-41.
