Anaxagoras is a young lunar impact crater that is located near the north pole of the Moon. The formation spans an official diameter of 51.9 kilometers.

It lies across the larger and more heavily worn crater Goldschmidt. It is recorded in the IAU Gazetteer under quadrangle LAC-3.
