Lunar Impact Crater
Alpetragius is a lunar impact crater spanning 40.02 kilometers across the Moon.
Alpetragius is a lunar impact crater located on the eastern edge of Mare Nubium, to the southwest of the much larger crater Alphonsus. The formation spans an official diameter of 40.02 kilometers.
Webb noted that it "is so deep ... It is recorded in the IAU Gazetteer under quadrangle LAC-95.
The International Astronomical Union officially approves the crater name.
